Joy inchie

The look on this Mother's face just moved me so much. There have been many wonderful pictures of returning soldiers but this mother's beautiful expression just said it all for me. If it were not for the fact that another battalion was prepared to leave in place of the ones had just returned I would be so happy. God please bless America and the sacrifice these young people make in the name of Liberty.

Friend inchie for April 17th, 2011

It took many pictures to get these guys to cooperate! They really are good friends. At least as good as any cat and dog. They are fun to watch play. Furry friends are fine!

Peace lily inchie

Just give a little extra stress and I will try and make the smallest of items. The smaller the better and the more concentration it takes the happier I am. This is a lily folded from a piece of computer weight paper. I started with a square that was 1 1/4 inches. Sometime tomorrow I hope to have my fingers untangled. Peaceful afternoon and worth the effort.

The inchie theme for this week was song. I wanted something a little different and one very long night it came to mind that the birds were full of song and making nests and that should be my inchie theme. I had so much fun putting the nest together with dried grass and making the little blue eggs from clay. The edging on the inchie itself is "Flower Soft" , the Spring collection. The bird is copied from the cover of my bird book onto watercolor paper and enhanced with colored pencils. Hope you like the results.
