Wings of prayer inchie

The terrible disaster in Japan has been heavy on my mind and inspired my inchie for this week. Prayers heal all wounds and relieve all sorrow. This inchie is a reminder of the great power of prayer to lift us up. God bless the people of Japan.

Getting comfortable with collage

I am moving ahead with my goal to become more comfortable with collage. I have been working on some cardboard pages for a nature themed (loosely because I still do not know what I am doing) book. It is nature themed because that is what is on the lovely paper I bought at my favorite stamp store, Prairie Art Stamps. There were wonderful birds and butterflies on the paper. Here are a few pages that would be finished if someone would take them away from me. I keep piling stuff onto them. How do you know when they are done???

My dancing shoes

A couple of years ago my good friend Joanne Huffman offered to paint me a pair of shoes to wear to go dancing. I sent some shoes and this is what I got in return. Amazing colors and do they ever attract attention. It really does not matter that I am a less than adequate dancer. I have the best partner in the world and really great shoes.

March Inchie for the theme Dancing

Nearly pulled my hair out getting this into one inch format. I took the tulips from my sketchbook from 1989...some things are timeless. LOL I hope you enjoy the final product. Later on I will post the steps I took to get to one inch. Spring is coming the crocus are fully in bloom.

St. Patrick's Day Hats

The crocus are up! A sure sign that Spring will eventually get here. I have just finished three shamrock hats that I designed for the Cleveland grandchildren. I am sure they will have some chilly days left and need to wear a hat. The pattern is very simple. It was the graphing of the shamrock and the placement so I could get three on each hat that was hard for me. Hope you enjoy the finished product. I can hardly wait to see pictures of the children in their hats. Now I am working on hat number four for our grandson here in Springfield. Please let me know if you want the directions. I would be happy to share them.

Inchie put me in a pinchie

The inchie for this week was to be representative of FROLIC. Having spent all last week dealing with the mess over Sarah's medication I was not in a frolicing mood. The sun is out today and I came up with two pieces. Neither is exactly what I had in mind. I hope you enjoy them. Keep in mind I was not completely out of my BLUE FUNK when making them. All is well for the time being.
